Mukund (Mike) Patel took over management of his first property in 1991 – a Comfort Inn in McKinney, TX. His son Mehul was never far from his side. From an early age, Mehul was always lending a hand, learning the fundamentals, and absorbing the intangibles.
With a passion for the industry, and a background in finance, Mehul Patel formed Magnolia Hospitality Group in 2007. His keen understanding of the industry and a penchant for raising the bar served to lay the foundation for the successful portfolio of properties owned and managed by Magnolia Hotel Group today.
